Petty Chapman is a small business aimed specifically at the costuming needs of Re-enactors who want to make their own clothes using the best possible products. We sell museum quality pure wool at affordable prices in authentic colours, matched to historically accurate natural dyes, linens and cottons. We can also provide silks and velvets to order, together with interlinings for arming jacks and riding coats. Additionally, we offer pearls and natural stones suitable for rosaries and embroidered or embellished work, authentically cast pewter buttons and cloak closures in a variety of designs, toggles and beads in dyed and natural woods. We also provide authentic toys for children., and our range of patterns and pattern books from the Roman age through to the nineteenth century is detailed on the second page of this website. We supply re-enactors the UK, Europe and the USA both by post and through attendance at a variety of re-enactment events, which can be found detailed on the third page of this website.
